This study investigates how brown adipose tissue (a special type of fat that burns calories) affects how well semaglutide (Wegovy) works for weight loss. You'll undergo imaging and blood tests while starting semaglutide to help researchers understand individual differences in treatment response.

Who can take part
- Age 20–70 years old
- Just starting semaglutide (Wegovy) treatment for the first time
- BMI of 27 or higher AND at least one weight-related health condition (high blood pressure, high cholesterol, fatty liver, sleep apnea, heart disease, or joint pain), OR BMI of 30 or higher
- No type 1 or type 2 diabetes diagnosis
- No recent neck surgery, radiation to the neck, or beta-blocker medications
- No family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN2 syndrome, and able to safely undergo MRI scans
