Who can take part
- Age 18 or older
- Diagnosed chronic kidney disease with specific kidney function and protein levels
- Normal to low potassium levels (≤5.0 mmol/L)
- Currently on maximum tolerated ACE inhibitor or ARB for at least 4 weeks
- Not requiring dialysis or expected to need it within 3 months
- No recent heart attack, stroke, or major heart surgery in the past 3 months
