Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have chronic kidney disease with moderate to severe protein in your urine and a certain level of kidney function as measured by blood and urine tests.
  • You have high blood pressure (systolic at least 130 mmHg at screening and at least 120 mmHg at randomisation).
  • You have been on a stable dose of an ACE inhibitor or ARB (but not both) for at least 4 weeks before screening.
  • Your potassium level is within a safe range, which depends on your kidney function.
