Who can take part
- You have newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (not treated before, except possibly steroids or radiation)
- You are between 18 and 75 years old and physically able to have a stem cell transplant

- Your blood counts, liver, and kidney function are healthy enough to handle the treatment
