SAR447971 Safety and Effectiveness Study

This is an early-stage study testing a new drug called SAR447971 to see if it is safe and how the body handles it. There are two parts: one for healthy volunteers, and one for people with hidradenitis suppurativa (a chronic skin condition with painful bumps and drainage). The goal is to find out if this drug might help treat this skin condition.

Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 55 years old (healthy volunteers) or 18 and 65 years old (if you have hidradenitis suppurativa)
  • Have no serious medical conditions or active infections requiring treatment in the past 4 weeks
  • Not be taking immunosuppressant medications or have a weakened immune system
  • If enrolling with hidradenitis suppurativa: have a diagnosis confirmed by a dermatologist at least 6 months ago
  • If enrolling with hidradenitis suppurativa: have bumps in at least 2 different body areas with certain severity, and have not been treated with biologic drugs before
  • Stop certain HS treatments (topical creams, antibiotics, other systemic drugs) for 2–4 weeks before starting
