Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old and in generally good health
  • You have not had any brain injuries, brain surgery, or neurological conditions like epilepsy, stroke, or Chiari malformation
  • You do not have spinal conditions that affect fluid flow, like spinal stenosis or syringomyelia
  • You are able to safely have an MRI scan (no metal implants, pacemakers, or severe claustrophobia)
  • You have not had manual therapy (like massage or chiropractic care) in the past 2 weeks
  • You are not pregnant, and your blood pressure and blood sugar are well-controlled if you have high blood pressure or diabetes
