Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with thyroid cancer confirmed by imaging (ultrasound) and biopsy
  • You are scheduled to have elective (planned, non-emergency) thyroid cancer surgery
  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are mentally able to understand the study and can give written consent
  • You do not have cancer in other organs or serious problems with other major organs
  • You plan to stay at this hospital for the full study and won't transfer elsewhere
