Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old
  • You are scheduled for elective (planned) minimally invasive abdominal surgery lasting longer than 1 hour
  • You are in generally good to moderate health (ASA status I, II, or III)
  • You do not have a pacemaker or implanted defibrillator
  • You do not have severe heart or lung disease
  • Your body mass index is 35 kg/m² or lower
