Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are scheduled for elective gynecologic laparoscopic surgery (belly-button keyhole surgery).
  • Your surgery is expected to last at least 90 minutes with gas filling your belly.
  • The surgery will involve tilting your head up or down at about 30° or 45°.
  • You do not have chronic kidney disease, kidney failure, or an active urinary tract infection.
  • You are not pregnant.
  • You can understand and sign the consent form.
