  • Child is between 3 and 6 years old
  • Child has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) using formal testing at least 6 months ago
  • Child's autism is not caused by a genetic syndrome, chromosomal condition, or metabolic disorder
  • Child weighs between 25 and 60 pounds (11.45–27 kg)
  • Child has moderate-to-severe autism symptoms (scored on autism rating scales)
  • No recent changes to medications, therapy, or school/home setting in the past 4 weeks
