  • 18 years or older
  • Scheduled for elective (planned, non-emergency) off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting—a heart surgery that restores blood flow to the heart
  • Able to take cognitive tests (thinking and memory assessments) before and after surgery
  • No pre-existing diagnosed dementia, cognitive impairment, or major psychiatric conditions
  • No severe neurological disease (like stroke damage) or vision/hearing problems that would prevent you from completing cognitive testing
  • Able to understand Chinese and communicate clearly
