Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You are scheduled for a planned heart bypass (CABG) or stent procedure (PCI) to treat blocked arteries, but not both at the same time.
  • You have not had previous heart bypass surgery or heart valve surgery.
  • You have not had a stent procedure in the last year.
  • You do not have an untreated severe blockage (over 70%) in a neck artery.
