Sertraline and Probiotics for Teen Depression
Treatments studied
Part of Mental health clinical trials.
This study tests whether combining an antidepressant medication (sertraline) with special bacteria supplements (probiotics) can help treat depression in teenagers ages 12–18. Researchers believe the probiotics may help the medication work better by improving gut health.
