Who can take part

  • You are a man aged 18 or older with concerns about prostate cancer
  • Your PSA blood test is 20 ng/mL or lower
  • You have never had a prostate biopsy before
  • You have never had a prostate MRI scan before
  • You can safely have an MRI (no pacemaker, metal implants, or severe claustrophobia)
  • You are able to provide written consent and complete all study procedures

Using AI to improve prostate cancer detection from MRI

This trial tests whether an artificial intelligence (AI) program can help doctors decide when a prostate biopsy is needed. It is for men who have had a prostate MRI that shows either a low-risk (PIRADS 1-2) or uncertain (PIRADS 3) spot, along with a higher-than-normal PSA level. You may qualify if you have certain risk factors like a high PSA density, suspicious digital rectal exam, or family history of prostate cancer.
