- You are between 16 and 50 years old
- You have good oral hygiene and healthy gums with no active gum disease
- You have one back tooth with a large cavity caused by decay (affecting more than half the inner tooth layer) that has lost one or more side walls
- The cavity does not involve cracks or breaks in your tooth, and the edges are only in the hard outer layer (enamel)
- You do not have uncontrolled diabetes, immune disorders, pregnancy, or pulp death in the target tooth
- You do not grind or clench your teeth, and you have no documented allergy to composite fillings
