Who can take part

  • Age 18–55 years old
  • Overweight or obese (BMI of 30 or higher, or 27–30 with a weight-related health condition like prediabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or sleep apnea)
  • Stable weight for at least 90 days and history of unsuccessful diet or exercise attempts
  • No recent weight-loss medications, GLP-1 drugs (like Ozempic or Wegovy), or weight-loss surgery
  • No personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or multiple endocrine neoplasia
  • Able to follow study procedures and agree to reproductive safety requirements
