  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You are scheduled for elective (non-emergency) open heart surgery.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is less than 30.
  • Your health status before surgery is classified as ASA I, II, or III (meaning you are generally healthy or have mild to moderate systemic disease).
  • You have no history of stroke, transient ischemic attack (TIA), or other brain events.
