Who can take part
- You are postmenopausal (no menstrual periods for at least 12 months, or you have had your ovaries removed, or you are taking medications to stop ovarian function).
- You have been diagnosed with hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer that has spread to nearby or distant parts of the body (locally advanced or metastatic).
- Your cancer has worsened while you were receiving or after you finished hormone therapy.
- You have not had cancer that spread to the brain or spinal cord that causes symptoms, or you have been treated for it and it is stable.
- You are willing to use effective birth control (like abstinence or barrier methods) for at least 2 years after the last dose if you could become pregnant (due to GnRH agonists).
- You can swallow pills and do not have severe heart, liver, or kidney problems.
