BreEStim for nerve pain after spinal cord injury

This study tests a treatment called BreEStim to see if it helps relieve nerve pain (neuropathic pain) that you've had for more than 3 months after a spinal cord injury. You must have had the injury for over a year and be stable on your current pain medications.

Who can take part

  • You have had a spinal cord injury for more than one year
  • You have had nerve pain for more than 3 months
  • You have a certain level of nerve pain (a DN4 score of 4 or higher)
  • Your oral pain medications have been the same for at least one month
  • You are willing and able to receive the BreEStim treatment for 1 minute
