  • You are between 18 and 65 years old
  • Your BMI (body mass index) is greater than 30 kg/m²
  • You are scheduled for planned (elective) surgery that requires a breathing tube under general anesthesia
  • You have not had previous head, neck, or throat surgery or radiation therapy
  • You do not have a history of difficult intubation or known airway problems
  • You do not have cervical spine (neck) problems or limited neck movement
