Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You have had type 2 diabetes for at least 6 months.
- You take metformin, with or without an SGLT2 inhibitor, and your doses have been stable for at least 3 months.
- Your HbA1c (average blood sugar over 2-3 months) is between 7.0% and 10.5%.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is between 25 and 50.
- You have not used any other diabetes or weight-loss medications (except short-term insulin) in the last 3 months.
- You do not have uncontrolled diabetic eye problems, and you have had an eye exam in the last 3 months.
- You do not have severe hypoglycemia unawareness (not recognizing low blood sugar symptoms).
