Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for at least 3 months.
- Your average blood sugar (HbA1c) is between 7.5% and 11.0%.
- You have been on a stable dose of metformin (at least 1000 mg/day) for at least 3 months, possibly with another diabetes medicine.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is 23 or higher.
- You are willing to use effective birth control if there is any chance of pregnancy.
