How FGF23 Changes in Kidney Disease Stages

CKD - Chronic Kidney Disease

Part of Blood & lymphatic, Kidney & urinary, Women’s health & pregnancy clinical trials.

This study looks at a substance in your blood called FGF23 that can rise as kidney disease gets worse. Researchers want to see how the level of this substance changes at different stages of CKD.

Test whether FGF19 helps non-diabetic kidney disease

This study looks at FGF19 to see if it can improve chronic kidney disease in people who do not have diabetes. Participants may receive FGF19 (and may need extra testing such as muscle biopsies).

NCT02808572Recruiting
Blood and urine tests to study heart risk in kidney disease

This study looks for new markers in blood or urine that may help explain heart (cardiovascular) risk in people with chronic kidney disease. It may help doctors better predict risk, especially in those not yet on dialysis.

Predicting survival in elderly kidney patients

This study looks at older adults with advanced chronic kidney disease (stages 4B and 5) to see if a set of health measures can help predict how long they may live. It aims to guide care and planning for patients and their doctors.

Testing FGF23 in anemia with and without kidney disease

This study looks at a blood hormone called FGF23 and whether it is linked to heart (cardiovascular) problems in people with anemia. It also compares people with anemia who do and do not have chronic kidney disease, which may help researchers understand risk and targets.

NCT06668831Recruiting
FGF23 and heart rhythm in dialysis patients

This study looks at whether a blood protein called FGF23 is linked to irregular heartbeats in people on long-term hemodialysis (kidney dialysis). It may help doctors better predict heart risks.
