Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have end-stage kidney disease and have been on hemodialysis for at least 3 months.
  • You have been medically stable with no hospital stays in the last month.
  • You are willing and able to follow the study plan and give written consent.
  • You do not have serious heart valve disease or active heart or lung problems.
  • You can safely have an ultrasound of your heart and a bioimpedance test.
  • You do not have an active infection or inflammation.
