Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 80 years old.
- You weigh between 99 and 353 pounds.
- You have been diagnosed with pulmonary sarcoidosis for at least 6 months and have a chest X-ray showing at least stage 2 disease without significant scarring.
- You currently take 5 to 25 mg of prednisone (or an equivalent steroid) daily and are willing to slowly reduce that dose.
- You also take at least one other sarcoidosis medicine (like methotrexate or azathioprine) at a stable dose for the past month.
- You have shortness of breath (mMRC score of at least 1) and your lung function is at least 50% of normal, but not above 85%.
