Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You are in generally good health (ASA I or II).
  • You are scheduled for elective lumbar spine surgery for a herniated disc, spinal stenosis, or degenerative disc disease.
  • You have not had previous back surgery at the same level.
  • You are not using strong painkillers (opioids) regularly or dependent on them.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you have no bleeding disorders or infections near the injection site.
