- You are 18 years or older.
- You have adenoid cystic carcinoma in the head or neck that has spread or cannot be removed with surgery.
- Your cancer has gotten significantly worse in the last 3 months, shown by scans.
- You are able to have a biopsy of your tumor before starting treatment.
- Your overall health is good (able to do daily activities without help).
- You have not taken certain other cancer treatments within the past 2 to 4 weeks.
