Who can take part
- You have cervical cancer that was surgically removed (radical hysterectomy) and you need radiation therapy within 3 months after surgery.
- You are in good health overall (ECOG score 0 or 1) and your blood counts, kidney, and liver function are within normal limits.
- Your cancer was one of these types: squamous cell, adenocarcinoma, or adenosquamous carcinoma.
- For squamous cell cancer, you meet specific criteria (called Sedlis criteria); for other types, you meet the 'four-factor model' criteria.
- You have no signs of cancer spread (positive lymph nodes, invasion, or margins) found after surgery.
- You have not had any other cancer in the last 3 years (except cervical cancer) and no prior radiation or chemotherapy for this cancer before surgery.
