Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You had a stroke within the last 7 to 90 days.
- You have trouble speaking or understanding language (aphasia) that is mild or moderate.
- You are alert and able to cooperate with treatment.

- You do not have a pacemaker, severe heart/liver/kidney failure, or an infection at the acupuncture points.
