Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with post-stroke aphasia (Broca’s or mixed), checked by a speech-language specialist
  • Your stroke affected the left side of the brain only (seen on CT or MRI)
  • Your stroke was more than 6 months ago (chronic stage)
  • On a word-naming test, your accuracy is between 10% and 60%
  • You were right-handed before your stroke and can read/write consent in English
  • You do not have a pacemaker or implanted nerve stimulator, skull metal implants, or a history of seizures
