Who can take part

  • You must be able to care for yourself and be active at least 70% of the time (Karnofsky score of 70 or more).
  • You have a tumor in the abdomen or pelvis (either a primary cancer or one that spread there), confirmed by biopsy, and it can be treated with 5 sessions of radiation (SBRT).
  • The tumor must be close (within 1 cm) to a dose-limiting organ like the bowel, duodenum, or stomach.
  • You can lie still for about 60 minutes for each treatment session.
  • You must not have had radiation therapy that overlaps with this treatment area before.
  • You must not have any metal in your body that is unsafe for MRI, like certain pacemakers or metal fragments.
