Who can take part

  • You are having a heart attack with ST elevation on your EKG
  • Your blocked artery has very little or no blood flow
  • The clot in your artery is large (grade 4 or higher)
  • The blocked artery is at least 3 millimeters wide
  • You are going to have an emergency procedure to open the artery
