Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You are having a specific type of heart attack (STEMI) that started less than 24 hours ago.
  • The main artery in your heart has a large clot and very little blood flow.
  • You have not had a previous procedure (like a stent or bypass) in the same artery.
  • You are not in cardiogenic shock (very low blood pressure from heart failure).
  • You do not have severe kidney failure, bleeding problems, or other serious conditions listed.
