Who can take part

  • You are between 65 and 80 years old
  • You are scheduled for a planned McKeown minimally invasive esophagectomy (a surgery to remove part of the esophagus)
  • You have a physical status of I, II, or III according to the ASA classification (a measure of overall health before surgery)
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is at least 18 kg/m² and not more than 30 kg/m²
