  • You are between 18 and 40 years old.
  • You have a body mass index (BMI) either between 18 and 25 (normal weight) or between 30 and 40 (obese).
  • You are generally healthy and do not have heart disease or a long-term inflammatory disease.
  • You do not take medications or supplements that affect how your body burns fuel at rest or during exercise.
