Balance rehab program for brain injury survivors

This study tests a balance-focused rehabilitation program for people who have had a brain injury (from stroke, trauma, lack of oxygen, tumor, or infection). It aims to improve balance and daily function. You may qualify if you are between 18 and 65, can walk with or without a device, and are at least 2 months past your injury.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You had a brain injury from a stroke, trauma, lack of oxygen, tumor, or infection.
  • At least 2 months have passed since your brain injury.
  • You can walk with or without a cane or walker.
  • Your thinking and memory are good enough to follow instructions, as judged by a standard test (score above 24 out of 30).
  • You do not have other serious health problems that would make rehab unsafe.
