Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older and need a stent-graft in the upper part of your aorta (zone 2).
  • You have one of these conditions: a tear in the aortic wall (type B dissection), a widened aorta (aneurysm), a deep ulcer, or a blood clot within the aortic wall.
  • Your left subclavian artery (the artery that supplies your left arm) was kept open using one of the listed techniques.
  • You have not had a previous repair in zone 0 or 1, and you have not had multiple arch vessels moved.
  • Your injury is not from a blunt trauma (like a car accident).
