Who can take part
- You are 18 or older.
- You have type 2 diabetes with kidney damage (protein in urine or lower kidney function).
- Your 24-hour urine protein is between 0.5 and 3.5 grams.
- Your kidney function (eGFR) is 45 mL/min/1.73m² or higher.
- You have been on a stable dose of kidney-protecting medication (like ACE inhibitors or ARBs) for at least 8 weeks.
- You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or allergic to the study drug, and have not been in another trial recently.
