Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You have type 2 diabetes with kidney disease and moderate or severe diabetic retinopathy in at least one eye.
- You have been on a stable dose of blood pressure medication (like ACE inhibitors or ARBs) for at least 4 weeks.
- Your kidney function is good enough (eGFR at least 30) and your protein leak is between 0.5 and 3.5 grams per day.
- You have not had recent eye injections, laser treatments, or certain other eye procedures in the past 3 months.
- You do not have other serious eye conditions, active infections, or a history of allergy to the study drug.
