Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 69 years old and have had type 1 diabetes for at least 1 year.
  • You take insulin every day (by injections or pump).
  • Your blood sugar control (HbA1c) is below 9.5%.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18.5 and 40.
  • You have no recent heart problems, pancreatitis, or severe low blood sugar (needing help) in the last 3 months.
  • You are not taking certain diabetes medications (other than insulin) or blood thinners.
