Testing an exoskeleton to improve walking and breathing in COPD

Who can take part

  • You are between 45 and 75 years old.
  • You have COPD (confirmed with lung function test results: FEV1/FVC ratio < 0.7 and FEV1% predicted between 30% and 80%).
  • Your BMI (body mass index) is below 35.
  • You do not have other serious heart or lung problems that make treadmill walking unsafe.
  • You must get a doctor's okay after a breathing test and safety screening.
