Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 65 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with schizophrenia and are currently having a flare-up that started within the last 2 months.
- You have a body mass index (BMI) between 18.5 and 35, and weigh at least 50 kg (110 lbs) if male or 45 kg (99 lbs) if female.
- You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant, and you agree to use effective birth control during the study and for 3 months after.
- You have not had a poor response to at least two different antipsychotic medications given at adequate doses for at least 6 weeks each.
