  • The patient is being treated at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in Malawi, in the neonatal or pediatric ward.
  • The patient is at risk for apnea (pauses in breathing) or needs their breathing rate checked.
  • A BreathAlert device is available for use while the patient is at risk.
  • The patient's parent or caregiver has agreed to the study by signing a consent form.
