Who can take part

  • You are a man aged 55 or older, or a woman aged 65 or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with melanoma and are about to start immunotherapy (drugs like PD-1, PD-L1, CTLA-4, or LAG3 inhibitors).
  • You have not had any prior major heart events (heart attack, stroke, or heart surgery).
  • You can have a heart scan called CCTA, meaning you have no allergies to contrast dye, no serious kidney problems, and no uncontrolled irregular heartbeat.
  • Your fasting LDL "bad" cholesterol is less than 190 mg/dL.
  • Your initial heart scan shows some plaque but no severe blockages.
