Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with moderate to severe ARDS (a serious lung condition) caused by an infection—not from trauma or other causes.
  • You have been receiving treatment (antibiotics and lung support) for at least 24 hours.
  • You do not have certain infections (like active hepatitis B/C, HIV, or syphilis) and are not on strong immune-suppressing drugs.
  • You do not have severe heart, liver, kidney, or blood problems, and are not expected to need a heart-lung machine (ECMO).
