Who can take part

  • You had a stroke caused by a blockage in the middle cerebral artery, confirmed by MRI or CT scan.
  • Your stroke happened between 6 months and 7 years ago.
  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You still have significant arm or leg weakness from the stroke.
  • Your stroke lesion is between 1 and 100 cubic centimeters on MRI.
  • You are not taking blood thinners that cannot be stopped safely for the procedure.
