Who can take part

  • Your child must weigh at least 10 kilograms (about 22 pounds).
  • The surgery must be a laparoscopic (keyhole) procedure that takes place inside the belly.
  • You must agree to participate by signing a consent form.
  • The surgery is expected to take at least 20 minutes of belly inflation.
  • The surgeon must be able to use the special tool (trocar) needed for the study.
