Who can take part

  • You have or may have chronic liver disease (like hepatitis, fatty liver, or alcohol-related liver disease).
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are scheduled for or recently had a FibroScan (liver stiffness test) as part of your routine care.
  • You do not have fluid buildup in your belly (ascites) or severe liver failure.
  • You are not pregnant, have no skin issues on the right side of your ribcage, and have not had a liver transplant.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is under 35.
