Who can take part

  • Be between 3 and 6 years old.
  • Be scheduled for a planned (elective) surgery that lasts at least 1 hour under general anesthesia (such as hernia repair, testicle surgery, or tonsil/adenoid removal).
  • Not have any major brain or nerve conditions (like autism, epilepsy, ADHD, or intellectual disability).
  • Have normal vision and hearing (or at least good enough to see and hear a screen and sounds).
  • No personal or family history of seizures triggered by flashing lights.
