Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You are scheduled to have a major liver resection (removing at least 3 sections of your liver).
  • You have a recent CT scan of your liver with contrast dye, which will be reviewed by the study team.
  • You agree to have follow-up visits and blood tests for at least 30 days after your surgery.
  • You do not have a known blood vessel problem in your liver (like a clot).
  • Your surgery is not an emergency procedure for injury.
